3 Texas state parks with gorgeous fall foliage

A.Hernandez2 hr ago

Despite the lingering heat in the Texas Hill Country, fall is officially right around the corner. The region has plenty of spots to take a drive to see gorgeous foliage and sip a pumpkin spice latte .

Here are three beautiful places in the Texas Hill Country to see fall colors that you won't have to go to the Northeast portion of the United States to see.

Garner State Park

A trip to Garner State Park in Concan will provide acres of lush trees evolving into the fall season. The Frio River near large rocky cliffs provides a fantastic backdrop as the water mirrors the orange and yellow leaves. Also hiking through the hill terrain and passing trees will entrench guests in the fall season.

Enchanted Rock State Park

Enchanted Rock is already a popular Texas destination for hikers and visitors alike, but adding the tree's sudden color change makes this spot a must-go in the fall. Plus, it helps that it is cooling down, so the dome won't be giving as much heat as it would in the middle of summer.

Pedernales Falls State Park

Deep in the middle of the Texas Hill Country in the home of former President Lyndon B. Johnson is Pedernales Falls State Park. This park has plenty for visitors to enjoy like horse riding, hiking, bird watching fishing and tubing, but in the fall the foliage change adds a postcard feeling while staying in the Lone Star State.
