DETROIT - Detroit Tigers outfielder Riley Greene and second baseman Colt Keith were named finalists for the Silver Slugger Award on Monday.

The award is sponsored by Louisville Slugger and designed to honor the best offensive producer at each position as determined by MLB managers and coaches.

First baseman Spencer Torkelson was a finalist in 2023. The last Tiger to win the award was Miguel Cabrera in 2016 .

Keith, 23, agreed to a six-year deal with three consecutive team options worth a guaranteed $28.6 million in January, before his first big-league at-bat. After a sluggish April, he became one of the team's best hitters, posting a .754 OPS over his final 425 at-bats . He was AL Rookie of the Month in July .

Greene, 24, was the No. 5 overall pick in 2019, made his debut in 2022 and has steadily grown into one of the league's best outfielders.

Greene was selected to his first All-Star Game in July and his return from injury in August coincided with the Tigers' improbable run to the playoffs.

In 584 plate appearances in 2024, Greene hit .262 with an .827 OPS (133 OPS+). He had 27 doubles, six triples and 24 home runs and was rated highly for his work in left field.

All 30 managers plus three coaches from each team (selected by the manager) vote on the award. The winners will be announced on MLB Network on Nov. 12.

Other AL finalists at second base are: six-time winner Jose Altuve (Astros); Gleyber Torres (Yankees); and reigning Silver Slugger Marcus Semien (Rangers).

The other AL finalists in the outfield are: Jarren Duran (Red Sox); Anthony Santander (Orioles); three-time winner Aaron Judge (Yankees); and Juan Soto (Yankees), who has been a Silver Slugger in three consecutive seasons.

Two former Tigers - utility man Willi Castro (Twins) and shortstop Willy Adames (Brewers) - are also finalists at their positions.
