Prairie Piecemakers Quilt Show, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., First Lutheran Church, 3200 E. Military Ave., Fremont. Over 150 quilts made by guild members will be on display. Admission, payable at the door, is $5 per person. Sandwiches, soup and homemade cheesecake will be available at the Supernova Café. There also will be a silent auction and quilt raffle.

Anime NebrasKon, 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. Saturday, Mid-America Center, Council Bluffs, Iowa. The event, which continues through Sunday, will include over 100 fan panels, Q&As with special guests from the anime industry, workshops, a vendor hall, an artist alley, cosplay contests, gaming rooms, dance parties, anime screenings and more. One-day passes and three-day badges will be available.

Fremont Eagles Club open, 3 p.m. to midnight, 649 N. Main St., Fremont. The club may stay open later or close early depending on business. The kitchen will be open from 5:30 to 7 p.m. The menu will include catfish, shrimp, wings, chicken tenders, fish sandwiches, hamburgers, cheeseburgers, appetizers, baked potatoes, french fries, onion rings and salad. The Nebraska volleyball match begins at 5 p.m. Everyone is welcome.

Spooky Skate, 4-8:30 p.m., Heartland of America Park at The RiverFront, 4-8:30 p.m., Omaha. The event will include games, giveaways and a costume skate night featuring all of your favorite Halloween songs. Admission is free. Skate rentals are $5 for adults and $4 for youth.

Live music by Shifting Gears, 7-10 p.m., Fremont Eagles Club main floor. The cover charge is $3. Everyone is welcome.

Ghouls & Glow, 7-9 p.m., Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium. This zero-frightful event is an illuminated spectacle for all ages. It features family activities around the zoo, including trick-or-treating, magic shows and 400 larger-than-life lanterns. Visitors will encounter skeletons, candy monsters, jack-o-lanterns, ghosts, witches, wizards, spider web arches, sugar skulls with elements of nature, an eerie house, a mummy band and other friendly ghouls. Tickets purchased online are $19.95 for zoo members and $22.95 for non-members. Children ages 2 and under are free and do not require a ticket. Ticket prices increase by $3 each if purchased at the zoo.

Scribner Volunteer Fire Department Pancake Feed, 8 a.m. to noon, Scribner Fire Station, 589 Third St., Scribner. Pancakes, french toast, eggs, sausage, ham, coffee and juice will be served at the fundraiser.

Durham After Dark, 6-10 p.m., The Durham Museum, Omaha. This spooky event is just for adults age 21 and over. There will be music by the Kris Lager Band, a performance by the Dancing Zombies, tarot card readings, a Creepy Curator station, eerie stories of Omaha's past, Halloween games and more. Costumes are encouraged. Food and sweat treats will be available for purchase. There also will be a cash bar. The entry fee is $40 for members and $50 for non-members.

Haunted Happenings, 6:30 p.m., Keene Memorial Library, 1030 N. Broad St., Fremont. Representatives from Phantasm Paranormal will be at the library to share their findings from visiting Barnyard Park and the Harder Hotel in Scribner. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
