Akron Police investigate deadly dispute that left 1 dead

AKRON, Ohio (WOIO) - One man was fatally shot in Akron after a dispute Thursday night, according to the Summit County Medical Examiner's Office. At about 7:53 p.m. in a parking lot on West Long Street a 29-year-old man was shot multiple times by an unknown suspect, according to the medical examiner's office. The shooting occurred after a dispute, according to The Summit County Medical Examiner's Office. The 29-year-old was taken to Cleveland Clinic Akron General Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead at around 9:57 p.m. The Summit County Medical Examiner's Office said it will give an update in the incident once a positive identification is made.
