Amazon Fresh Opens First Store In San Diego County
The roughly 44,500-square-foot store features a wide selection of national brands, produce, protein and a variety of fresh-prepared meals, as well as Amazon's private-label brands such as Aplenty, Amazon Fresh, Amazon Saver, and 365 by Whole Foods Market. The store also offers more than 500 regional brands and favorites, including Food for Life, Have'A Corn Chips and Pizza Port.
"We're thrilled to open our newest Amazon Fresh grocery store right here in the heart of Poway. This opening invites customers in Greater San Diego to experience grocery shopping with Amazon Fresh, both in-store and online," Amazon Fresh regional manager Deron Thompson said. "Our team is proud to continue expanding in Southern California and build new relationships with our customers and important local organizations in the area like Feeding San Diego."
The new store features the company's latest brick-and-mortar design unveiled last year in select Chicago and Southern California stores.
The company currently has 55 Amazon Fresh stores across the country, including 22 stores in California. The first California store opened in 2020 in Woodland Hills in the San Fernando Valley region of Los Angeles.
