American Pickers star Danielle Colby has shared a message with her Instagram followers after Donald Trump 's presidential election victory over Vice President Kamala Harris .

Hours after the polls closed on Tuesday, Republican Trump secured a win over his Democratic rival as he soared past the 270 Electoral College votes required to be named the victor in the hotly contestant showdown.

Since the result became clear, a number of celebrities have shared their reactions on social media, with some celebrating Trump's return to the White House, while others have voiced their upset at the development.

Colby added her name to the lengthy list of celebrity detractors on Wednesday, when she took to Instagram to share a quote from social activist Janaya Khan, who is a co-founder of Black Lives Matter Toronto.

"Trump will win the White House. The GOP has control of the Senate ," the post read. "This is gutting yes, but freeing too. We get to make every day over the next four years hell for fascists, misogynists, bigots and liars. This is not the time to shrink. Nor time time to despair.

"This is the time for that classic Disney , larger than life, kinda gay, impossible well dressed, unbelievably cool, villainy. That punk rock, black parade, guerilla s***. This is our villain era. Make art. F*** s*** up. Build power."

Concluding, Khan stated: "They're about to learn that the hardest thing about gaining power is keeping it."

TV personality Colby opted to forgo adding any further commentary to the post, instead just tagging Khan. Colby turned off comments on the post.

Colby also shared a number of Instagram Story posts regarding the election, including Vanity Fair's new cover featuring Trump that listed his legal and civil issues.

Alongside Trump's photo were the words "34 felony counts, 1 conviction, 2 pending cases, 2 impeachments and 6 bankruptcies." The list concluded, "4 more years. The 47th American President."

Away from politics, Colby is set to return to screens in the History Channel's American Pickers.

Colby rose to fame alongside Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz in the popular reality show, which follows the team as they scour the country for forgotten gems in junkyards, basements and garages before recycling and renovating them—all while meeting quirky characters along the way.

Per reports, Fritz, who appeared on the program from 2010 to 2020, died on September 30 from the complications of a stroke while in hospice care. He was 60. His health took a significant hit in 2022 after he had a stroke that left him in a wheelchair. He also had Crohn's disease—a chronic inflammatory bowel condition that affects the lining of the digestive tract—for several decades.

On Monday, Wolfe took to Instagram to share a photo of an expansive deck with rocking chairs as he wrote about returning to work on American Pickers , and the early days of putting the show together with Fritz.

"Morning porch vibes from the great state of Tennessee," Wolfe started the caption. "Enjoying some much needed down time before we start shooting a new season of was 2004 when I picked up a camera and started filming Frank and my Two Lane adventures," he continued. "Now almost 500 episodes in, my heart is humbled and grateful that you all still tune in to see America and its great people thru our lens.

"Just like yours, the family that we have created has been thru so much together. Beauty and some sadness around our table. But we remain focused on sharing History and how it connects us all."
