Angelina Jolie the blonde bombshell puts on brave face after latest blow in ugly war with Brad Pitt

Angelina Jolie turned heads on Wednesday evening in New York City as she stepped out in a black look as her ongoing legal battle with ex-husband Brad Pitt drags on. The 49-year-old actress/filmmaker was meticulously dressed, less than a week after a setback in her court clash with Pitt over their French winery, Château Miraval . The Oscar-winning star donned a long, tailored coat that complemented her statuesque figure, layering the outerwear over a black outfit, which she rounded out with a pair of pointy-toe black heels. The silver screen siren looked gorgeous with glowing skin and subtle makeup as she waved to fans in the Big Apple. Her lustrous blonde locks were parted down the middle and styled in a sleek texture as they fell over one side of her chest. The Maleficent actress' legal setback is focused on Jolie's sale of her ownership share of the winery and estate in the Provence region of south France to Russian oligarch Yuri Shefler in 2021. Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Lia Martin on Friday scuttled a trio of dismissal motions Jolie's lawyers had filed in regards to remarks Pitt had made in court this past April, claiming Jolie's actions breached a pact they had made, People reported after reviewing legal docs. Pitt's legal team said that earlier this year that both he and Jolie agreed both verbally and in writing to obtain the permission of the other if they intended to sell their share of the winery, the outlet reported. The deal was made in 2013 via their companies Mongo Bongo and Nouvel, Pitt's lawyers told the court, according to the outlet. The organizations 'entered into a written agreement ... to give each other a right of first refusal over any sale of their respective interests in Miraval' which 'precluded [both parties] from selling their interests without the other's consent.' The Fight Club actor's attorneys said that Pitt and Jolie had also explicitly agreed to the agreement on a verbal basis, People reported. Jolie has a period to 30 days to file a reply to the latest ruling in the long-running case, according to legal docs. An insider close to Pitt described the judge's recent ruling as 'a clear victory for' Pitt, who is currently dating 31-year-old jewelry exec Ines de Ramon . Judge Martin's dismissing of the three motions Jolie's team pushed for to eliminate the agreements as an element in the case 'demonstrates the legitimacy of his claims and demonstrates yet again the other side's talk is not backed up with substance,' the insider told People. A source close to Pitt described the legal battle as 'a straightforward business dispute' to the New York Post Monday. 'Unfortunately, the other side has consistently introduced personal elements which have exposed the weaknesses in their case and complicated and lengthened the proceedings,' the source said. The Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood actor in 2022 filed the lawsuit over the winery sale to the Stoli Group's wine division Tenute del Mondo, which Pitt's lawyers previously said Shefler presides over. Jolie and Pitt's romance began while they made the film 2005 Mr. And Mrs. Smith during his former marriage to actress Jennifer Aniston, which spanned from 2000-2005. After nearly a decade together, the one-time couple exchanged vows in a chapel at the estate August 23, 2014, with Jolie filing for divorce about two years later, on September 20, 2016. They are parents to Maddox, 23, Pax, 20, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 16. Jolie has been promoting her upcoming biopic, Maria, in which she plays American-Greek opera singer Maria Callas. The film, directed by Pablo Larraín, will premiere in select theaters on November 27, followed by a December 11 Netflix release. In addition to Angelina, the drama also stars Pierfrancesco Favino, Alba Rohrwacher, Haluk Bilginer and Kodi Smit-McPhee. The movie premiered at the 81st Venice International Film Festival in August and the first trailer was released in October; already the subject of Oscar buzz, it has been described by some critics as Jolie's best work. An IMDB synopsis reads, 'Maria Callas, the world's greatest opera singer, lives the last days of her life in 1970s Paris as she confronts her identity and life.' In an interview with Entertainment Weekly , Larrain recalled shooting a specific part of the feature with Jolie that brought him to tears. He said they saved the particularly demanding scene, which required Jolie to sing, for the last day of shooting. 'We kept it for the very, very end. We had six-to-eight hours to do that. I operated the camera, so I was close to her, always,' he explained. He continued, 'Angelina had to sing it out loud, with all of her power and humanity. By doing so, I asked her to feel the emotion and feel how broken she was in this moment of joy.' As he witnessed the award-winning actress work, he recalled, 'I was in shock. I was moved to tears as I saw her burning herself to the point that I think it concludes the movie in an operatic way.'
