Annual "International Taste of UMD" Event Celebrates Global Food Dishes

DULUTH, Minn. — The University of Minnesota Duluth's International Club hosted its annual "International Taste of UMD" event Saturday.

Held at the United Hope Methodist Church near campus, the event had a buffet style line-up of food from across the world.

Members of the International Club served up authentic dishes from their home countries.

Cuisine from around a dozen countries could be found at at the event, such as India, Greece and the Philippines.

"It's just great to like share my culture with everyone. And like see what everyone's culture of foods are and just trying new foods. I think it's really important to have like a space to share. Especially in Duluth, where you don't really have a large people of color community."

UMD's International Club encourages friendship between U.S students and international students and celebrates cultural diversity.
