Annual Vietnam War exhibit returns to Bedford American Legion
The Bedford County Vietnam Veterans Association is once again preparing to host its annual Vietnam War Exhibit, to commemorate Veterans Day.
The display is set up in the first floor meeting area of the Bedford American Legion.
This is the 10th year that the group has gathered to display their personal effects from deployment, with the purpose of educating the community.
While local high schools are their primary focus, any individual who is interested in viewing the exhibit may also do so.
"The artifacts that they each have, and their own individual stories, become so meaningful to the younger heroes that visit here. And the students won't hesitate to ask you certain questions; and for my own self, that's what I enjoy, because they want to know."
The exhibit will be open for viewing Wednesday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
