Apartment fire quickly contained in Bloomfield

BLOOMFIELD, Conn. (WTNH) — Various fire crews converged at Bloomfield to fight an apartment fire Sunday evening. Blue Hills Fire Department and Bloomfield Center Fire Department responded to an apartment fire at 3:48 p.m. on Barry Circle. Firefighters saw heavy fire coming from the second floor and a second alarm was sounded. Bloomfield received support from Simsbury, Windsor Locks, East Granby, Suffield and the CT Air National Guard Fire Department. The fire was quickly brought under control. No injuries to firefighters or civilians were reported. The fire is under investigation by the Blue Hills Fire Department Fire Marshal's office.
