APD identifies victim of fatal shooting involving juveniles in SE Austin
Austin police identified the victim of a in broad daylight in Southeast Austin last week.
It happened on Wednesday, Nov. 22 at 12:37 p.m. at the intersection of Deer Run Drive and Blue Dawn Trail.
Police responded to a disturbance call and located 17-year-old Alexander Jaimes with a gunshot wound. Jaimes was taken to a local hospital where he later died.
The investigation determined Jaimes and a female suspect were in a verbal conflict which escalated into a physical altercation and then the suspect shot Jaimes.
The suspect has not been arrested at this time.
Police say the victim and the suspect knew each other and there is no threat to the community.
A was created to help cover the funeral expenses. According to the page, the funeral services will be held on Friday, December 1.
