APD: Man found with head injury, dies in SE Austin; Investigation underway
A man has reportedly died after being found in the street with head injuries in Southeast Austin Wednesday night.
An official with the Austin Police Department said they received a call at 10:35 p.m. asking them to respond urgently to 2121 Burton Drive.
When officers arrived, they reportedly found a man they say was approximately 20-years-old, with obvious trauma to the head.
Despite first responders life-saving measures, we're told the man was pronounced deceased at the scene just before 11 p.m.
No suspect has been arrested in connect, but APD said there is no suspected threat to the public.
CBS Austin asked if there would be more patrol units added to the area since this is the , but the APD official didn't have that information at the time.
