Cayuga County Court blotter: Oct. 16, 2024

The following defendants were sentenced in Cayuga County Court in Auburn the weeks of Monday, Oct. 7, to Friday, Oct. 11:

• John E. Barnes, 54, of Auburn, was sentenced Oct. 8 by Judge Jon Budelmann to 1 1/2 to three years for first-degree criminal contempt.

• William R. Burgdoff, 39, of Auburn, was sentenced Oct. 8 by Budelmann to time served for seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

• Josiphina Dejesus, 28, was sentenced Oct. 8 by Budelmann to three years of probation for first-degree promoting prison contraband.

• Sonny L. Smith, 39, of Auburn, was sentenced by Budelmann to five years of probation, starting with the first two months in the Cayuga County Jail on weekends, for third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and first-degree menacing.
