Ryan Garcia Jumps In as Fans Bully a Robot

D.Nguyen26 min ago
Never pegged Ryan Garcia as a big believer in robots rising against humans? Well, that will change after you discover Garcia's tweet on social media today. The Victorville native is currently grappling with a lawsuit from his rival Devin Haney , who seeks damages for battery, fraud, and breach of contract regarding their April fight in Brooklyn, New York.

Garcia dropped Haney thrice en route to a majority decision victory. However, the root cause behind the lawsuit stems from the 26-year-old's positive doping tests revealed by VADA. Haney claims by allegedly taking ostarine Garcia committed battery. However, Garcia was banned by the NYSAC for one year from boxing and fined $1.2 million for the substance found in his system.

Regardless, all this hasn't stopped Garcia from speaking his mind on social media. Yesterday, a popular X handle 'kira' shared a video of a robot being pushed around by a group of people to test its self-balancing feature, captioning the post "????" Garcia seems to have been intrigued by the clip and its contents, as he quickly typed out his thoughts on the matter.

"This the s**t that's going to have the robots turn on us man ," Garcia wrote. In the past, Ryan Garcia has made some wild tweets about aliens, UFOs, and crazy conspiracy theories, which after the fight against Haney, he claimed was just a ruse to hype people up about his bout.

Regardless, more recently, Ryan Garcia was given 48 hours by Devin's father, Bill Haney, to enroll with VADA after the Victorville native claimed he was working hard every day to fight Haney in a rematch. Now, Garcia has shared his response to the ultimatum.

Ryan Garcia doesn't bend to someone else's rules Since the ultimatum was issued, Garcia has taken to social media to clarify his stance on the matter. He wrote, "You have to be dumb if you think ima listen to what Bill Haney request. First of all, they are suing me. Second of all, I don't need them at all. LMAO."

Despite his ban from the sport, it's unlikely that Ryan Garcia, who easily defeated Haney in April, would succumb to demands from Haney's corner. Plus, given Haney's reputation and a lack of options at the moment, Garcia would demand Haney take the role of B-Side in a potential rematch.

Long story short, even if a rematch happens, Garcia will remain the one leading the charge. Otherwise, there are plenty of boxers who would love to fight Garcia because of his popularity on social media, even if the fight is not for a WBC belt.

That being said, former interim WBC lightweight champion Ryan Garcia seems to have a sympathetic side for robots amid the turmoil he has found himself in. Do you think the robots will rise against us?
