Ardmore Is Great For Walking To Dinner: Philadelphia Magazine Sandy Smith for Philadelphia Magazine wrote about the best neighborhoods for walking to restaurants, Ardmore being among them.

ARDMORE, PA — Walkability is a crucial factor when choosing where to live. Being able to take the shoelace express to a great dinner is a lovely aspect of many neighborhoods.

And according to Philadelphia Magazine, Ardmore is a top Philly-area neighborhood for walking access to good restaurants.

Sandy Smith in the publication created the list of the best places to live for walking to restaurants.

"From its public and farmers' markets to its galaxy of great restaurants, the Philadelphia region has everything a gourmand would want," she wrote. "And some city neighborhoods and suburban communities have it all within walking distance."

Among those neighborhoods is Ardmore.

Smith highlighted Suburban Square, Lancaster Avenue, and surrounding areas as being riddled with great dining spots, such as Osushi, DePaul's Table, and more.

"You can find just about any type of house, condo or apartment you want in Ardmore, save for rowhouses," she wrote. "The most affordable ones are the twins that make up the majority of houses between the Regional Rail tracks and the Norristown High-Speed Line, but you can also find substantial single-family houses in this area."
