PHOENIX (AZFamily)— On the night before Election Day, Arizona's Democratic and Republican Senate candidates held rallies to make their final pushes before the polls open Tuesday.

Kari Lake spent the eve of the election in downtown Prescott, urging voters on election day to elect former president Trump and dragging Kamala Harris and her opponent Ruben Gallego.

Ruben Gallego appeared at a Get Out the Vote rally in downtown Phoenix. Several other democratic leaders, like Sen. Mark Kelly and Gov. Katie Hobbs, took the stage at the rally.

The speakers' main messages centered around differentiating between former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris.

Lake spoke at the Yavapai County Courthouse, which holds special political significance in our state. Arizona senators John McCain and Barry Goldwater both announced their candidacy for president on those steps.

She focused on getting people out to vote but also addressed the border and election security. Others, such as Congressman Andi Bigs and state Senator Windy Rogers, also spoke tonight to support Lake and Trump.

Over 100 people, including one Arizona resident, Tom Thomas, showed up in support of Lake. He said he supports Lake and Trump because of their stance on abortion.

"I respect Kari's stance on children, the unborn, it means a lot to me," Thomas said. "To keep those things from fading away and bring back the things we lost."

Back in Phoenix, Harris' supporters said they agree with her stance on women's rights issues.

"It (women's rights) is a big thing. But also, it's Kamala. I got to know her. I read her book... She brings joy, she brings happiness. She leads with love," said one Valley resident, Lori Emery.
