Athlete of the Week: Permian junior Gavin Black

ODESSA, Texas (KMID/KPEJ) – Permian junior runningback Gavin Black is ABC Big 2's Week Seven Athlete of the Week for his performance in the Panthers' 50-26 win over cross-town rival Odessa. Black rushed for 227 yards and a program-record five touchdowns in the win.
"It felt great. I tied the record, I wish I could've beat it<" Black said. "I know the record every week. I try to beat it every week, this week I got close, but we got more weeks."
Permian is now 6-0 on the season ahead of a road matchup against San Angelo Central this Friday.
