Augusta County Sheriff’s Office raises funds for children in need this Christmas

The Augusta County Sheriff's Office is holding a car cruise Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at Broadmoor Plaza in Stuarts Draft to raise funds for a needy children in the area this Christmas season.

Augusta County Sheriff Donald Smith said an array of vehicles will be on display.

Funds raised from Sunday's event will go directly to the department's Christmas Eve Children's Outreach Program. The program offers bicycles and toys to needy children in Augusta County.

Those attending Sunday's event must pay a $10 entry fee. Broadmoor Plaza is located at 2816 Stuarts Draft Highway in Stuarts Draft.
