Augusta mayor debunks water rumors

AUGUSTA (WJBF) – Rumors are floating around social media about Augusta's water. Mayor Garnett Johson issued the following post on Facebook regarding the rumors:
The City is NOT "shutting off water in an hour".
We do have areas in Augusta whose services have been impacted by Hurricane Helene. We ARE working to restore services to all areas but are having challenges accessing roads because of trees and debris.
