RUSSELLVILLE, Ky. (WBKO) - A death investigation of a 2-year-old girl in Logan County has led to an indictment.

Logan County Sheriff's Office said their findings warranted a detailed interview by the grand jury.

We first reported this story when it happened on July 10. The Logan County Sheriff's Office was called to investigate a reported missing child. According to the press release, the sheriff's office responded to the scene within six minutes of the call.

After an extensive search of the area, the young girl was later found unresponsive in a small body of water. Sheriff Stephen Stratton told WBKO that the girl was located roughly six doors down from where she had been spotted on a neighborhood Ring doorbell camera.

On Nov. 1, the Logan County Grand Jury indicted Lindsey Dover of Russellville with charges related to the incident.

Dover was the babysitter of the 2-year-old child and reported her missing back in July.

On Tuesday, Dover was arrested and charged with second-degree manslaughter and tampering with physical evidence.

According to court documents, Dover attempted to delete over 1,200 text messages from her phone before officers could execute a search warrant.

Dover was released on bail under bond conditions that she cannot supervise or care for any children that are not her own; she cannot use drugs or alcohol, and to comply with any DCBS case plan or prevention plan.

She is due back in court December 5.
