A balding man looks unrecognisable after he was given a 'life changing' hair transformation by a hair salon.

Social media personality JD Lincoln visited Novo Cabelo salon in Durham to be fitted with a hair system after struggling with hair loss.

Hair systems are a non-surgical hair replacement product that can be used to cover hair loss and can be made from real human hair or synthetic hair that is woven onto a base material such as lace or polyurethane.

Founder and creator of Novo Cabelo, Rob Wood, warned JD that he could be in for a shock, stating: 'You don't know what it's going to be like, you're going for a massive transformation, okay?'

Aged 31, JD revealed that he had consistently struggled with hair loss for an extended period of time.

Sporting a beard and a thin hair line prior to the transformation, JD was then seen with a sleek short haircut and a new, clean-shaven look.

Remarking about his new style while staring at a reflection of himself into a mirror, JD was almost lost for words, as he said the job done by Rob was 'crazy'.

Rob said that his client appeared to be 'a completely new person' after the job was completed.

Posting a comment in reply to Novo Cabelo's video of the cut on TikTok, JD said: 'This man saved me! The fresh start I needed in life! By the way this is me in the video.

'Much love my friend from the bottom of my heart!'

Meanwhile, others commended Rob for the job he did in helping to give JD a totally new look, posting: 'He looks so handsome'.

'Looks so good! I hope this makes him feel how he's always wanted to feel'.

'Great job! You can see his confidence slowly build in his eyes'.

'Wow! Life changing stuff!'

It comes after another balding man was compared to Star Trek actor Chris Pine for his new hairline after undergoing similar treatment at the same salon.

Lee, 41, struggled with hair loss after being required to take morphine tablets having suffered an injury to his spinal cord after slipping a disc in his lower back.

After taking off a pair of sunglasses to reveal the transformation, Lee could not believe his eyes, as his previously sparse hairline now had a chic short trim on top showing a full head of hair.

Lee was so amazed by the difference that he described the work of Rob as 'ridiculous' to be able to get his hair looking so stylish.

He looked so unrecognisable compared to before that Lee even joked: 'Who is this guy?,' after inspecting his new cut.

He added: 'That's crazy. It's such a difference isn't it?'

A note at the end of the video from the salon said that Lee would have to get his hair system refitted every three weeks - with the treatment set to last him between four and six months.
