A Baltimore County man was sentenced to 11 years in federal prison earlier this month for his role in a scheme to sell over $1.3 million in drugs.

Ronald White, 56, of Pikesville, pleaded guilty in April to three counts of possession with intent to distribute cocaine, cocaine base, fentanyl and heroin, and was facing a potential life sentence, according to a plea agreement.

"It was reasonably foreseeable to the defendant that the conspiracy would distribute and possess with the intent to distribute at least 400 grams of fentanyl," the plea agreement says.

White, along with 10 others, distributed or intended to distribute, 1 kilogram or more of a substance containing a detectable amount of heroin, 400 grams or more of a substance containing fentanyl, 5 kilograms of a substance containing cocaine, and 280 grams or more of a substance containing cocaine base, according to an indictment from July 2021.

According to the indictment, the drug trafficking operated through addresses in West and Northwest Baltimore, and White helped launder over $1.3 million in drug proceeds.

White admitted that he maintained stash houses to store over half a million in drug proceeds, and from one house investigators recovered 242 grams of cocaine base, 43 grams of cocaine, 3,724 grams of cocaine separately packaged, and 3,975 grams of fentanyl, as well as an additional 150 grams of fentanyl in White's vehicle, according to a news release from the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Maryland.

White admitted that it was reasonably foreseeable and within the scope of the conspiracy that he or other members of the conspiracy would distribute at least 1,200 grams of fentanyl, according to the release.

White was sentenced Oct. 1 by U.S. District Judge Stephanie A. Gallagher.

An attorney who previously represented White did not immediately respond to a request for comment Wednesday night.
