BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The Bella Bowman Foundation will host its annual Bella's Ball at 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 26 at L'Auberge Casino Hotel in Baton Rouge.

The foundation is named after 8-year-old Bella Bowman who was diagnosed with a brain tumor and died in 2011.

Bella's parents started the foundation to help children who have been diagnosed with pediatric cancer and their families. They provide services to support research, education and more.

"We do a lot of wonderful things. We have over 30 characters that visit children in the hospital. We have Christmas parties. Halloween's coming up. We have a great big party coming up," said mother Kim Bowman.

L'Auberge Casino Hotel is located at 777 L'Auberge Ave.
