Beatrice volleyball sweeps Malcolm
The Beatrice volleyball team picked up a conference win at home Thursday night.
Beatrice swept Malcolm 25-19, 25-23, 26-24 at the O-Zone in Beatrice, improving their record to 5-9 on the season.
London Meints led the way offensively for Beatrice with 18 kills while Brookly Schafer had seven kills, Annie Gleason had six kills, Taylor Reimer had five kills and Sophie Gleason had one kill. Sophie Gleason also had 33 assists in the match.
Defensively, Annie Gleason and Clara Bauman had two blocks each while Sophie Gleason added one block. Hannah Ray had 20 digs, Schafer had 27 digs and Meints had 15 digs.
The Lady O had seven ace serves in the match. Schafer had three of those aces while Sophie Gleason had two aces and Ray and Meitns had one ace each.
Beatrice will return to action on Monday when they host Syracuse.
