KURTH Benjamin Scott "OP", Age 46, of West St. Paul, With heavy hearts and deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Benjamin (OP) Scott Kurth, who left us far too soon on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at the age of 46. Born on March 24, 1978, Ben was a man of adventure, passion, and an undeniable zest for living. His presence was larger than life, and his spirit roamed as wild and free as the open water and winding roads. Ben's love for the water began at an early age, and he was happiest on Big Wood Lake. Ben thrived in the water, whether he was jet-skiing at full throttle, barefoot skiing, cruising on his boat, or bass fishing with one of his handmade lures. His summers at Wood Lake were filled with laughter and adventure — countless joyful moments that will forever resonate with those who loved him. He followed in his father's footsteps, working for the family business, KCI Trucking. Ben spent years working alongside his father, Denny, and his older brother, Hack. He built a reputation for hard work and camaraderie. Eventually, Ben became the proud owner and operator of Sure Shot Construction. He loved what he did, and the people he worked with. To the trucking community, he was affectionately known as "Benny". He had boundless energy and an infectious smile. Ben lived life on his terms, always full of laughter and joy. Every gathering was filled with excitement. Every venture, especially in Las Vegas, was immersed in pure fun. His love for family and friends was fierce and unwavering, and his loyalty ran as deep as the lakes he cherished. Ben is preceded in death by his beloved daughter Kelsey and his father Dennis. He is survived by his loving partner of 27 years, Dawn Danneker, and his best fur friend, Scouty. He also leaves behind his mother, Connie Kurth; his siblings, Carie Zeise (Jason), Dennis Hacken and Linda Rademacher (Mike); his nieces and nephews, Tavin, Tanner, Rowan, Jacob, Joseph, Jessica, Bret, Britney, Bradly, Frank and Lucia; and a wide circle of friends and loved ones who will forever miss his adventurous spirit and unforgettable presence. Though he has left this world, Ben lived life to its fullest and he leaves us with countless memories that will live on in our hearts. A celebration of Ben's life will be held on Friday, September 27, 2024, at Mendakota Country Club, 2075 Mendakota Drive, Mendota Heights, MN 55120. Friends and family are invited to gather at 4:30, with a service at 5:30, followed by food and refreshments. The celebration will be a time to share stories and honor Ben's adventurous, joy-filled life.
