Betty R. Metzger
Montoursville, Pa. — Betty R. Metzger, 92, of Montoursville died Thursday, Sept. 26, 2024 at Valley View Nursing Center.
Born March 24, 1932 in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Lula (Noblit) Falls.
Betty was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. Her faith was very important to her, and she was a dedicated member of the Farragut United Methodist Church.
Surviving is a daughter, Doris (Denny) Fogleman of Montoursville; two sons, Harold Metzger and Dale Metzger; five grandchildren, Jeff, Brian, Bethany, Brittany, and Bridget; nine great-grandchildren, Abby, Alex, Branson, Brooke, Hayden, Hunter, Natalie, Adra, and Juliette; three special nieces, Carol, Lois, and Joyce; and four special friends, Peggy, Joanie, Lisa, and Pat.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Clair Metzger; a son, Larry Metzger; and a daughter, Shirley Metzger.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2024 at McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 733 Broad Street, Montoursville, with Pastor Mike A. Hill officiating. Burial will follow in Montoursville Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of the 600 Hall at Valley View for the exceptional care that was provided to Betty.
The family will provide the flowers and suggest memorial contributions to Farragut United Methodist Church.
