Bloomfield police arrest three juveniles after disabling stolen car

Three juveniles were arrested after police in Bloomfield found a stolen car on Thursday and were able to stop it by deflating its tires.

The vehicle, a Hyundai sedan, was initially located on Cottage Grove Road where multiple officers responded, according to the Bloomfield Police Department .

Police said they deployed a tire deflation device before the vehicle became disabled on Burnham Street in Hartford. Three juveniles fled on foot and were apprehended, according to police.

The juveniles were taken into custody without any injuries to officers or the public, police said.

Officers later found that the juveniles had allegedly broken a rear window of the vehicle and tampered with the ignition to steal it.
