Luke Bodziak scored the only goal of the game for second-seeded Toms River East in its 1-0 win over seventh-seeded Lacey in the quarterfinals of the South Jersey, Group 3 Tournament in Toms River. Tommy Renkin tallied the assist on the goal, which occurred in the second half. The goal was Bodziak's team-leading 16th goal of the season. The win continued a dominant season in which Toms River East has a record of 16-3-1. The team only finished one game above .500 last year and exited quickly in the opening round of the state tournament.
