A boy riding a bicycle died at the hospital to which he was taken on Wednesday after he collided with a vehicle in northeast Bakersfield, according to the Bakersfield Police Department.

The driver, identified only as a man, was going west on Columbus Street and the bicyclist was going south on Loyola Street when they collided at 2:54 p.m., BPD said in a news release.

The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation, BPD said, noting that alcohol, drugs and speed don't appear to be factors in the collision.

The juvenile's name is to be released by the coroner's office.

Police ask that anyone with information call 661-327-7111.

What also isn't known is why this Jeep needs light bars mounted above

But a new study reveals none of those crack the top 10 and only the Dodge Charger appears in the top 20 at number 19. Some adults actually dressed up as a bear and filmed themselves trashing cars as part of an insurance scam. That study, which was generated by iSeeCars using data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's Fatality Analysis Reporting System brings up

Mustangs hit houses all the time, sadly, but it's rare we see an accident like this one in Chino, California with the pony car flying through the air, crashing into a house's second story. The hit was so violent it ripped a hole into the house and scared neighbors, one of them saying he thought maybe it was an earthquake. Watch a Mustang owner crash a Ferrari. Apparently, the people in the Ford Mustang were doing donuts late at night in a cul-de-sac on the other side of a paved ditch from the ho
