Brevard County Fire Rescue, Melbourne Fire Crews Douse Car Carrier Blaze on I
– Brevard County Fire Rescue Station 81 crew, along with Melbourne Fire Department Engine 72, District 60 and Training 1, responded to a car carrier fire on I-95 at Eau Gallie on Friday.
There were no injuries reported.
Brevard County Fire Rescue is an all hazards fire department and services include Technical Rescue, Advanced Life Support transport for all of Brevard, Hazardous Materials mitigation, Ocean Rescue, Marine Rescue and Community Risk Reduction (Fire Prevention).
The Melbourne Fire Department is a designated ISO Class 1 department, placing it among placing it among the top 1% of fire departments in the nation and the top 10% of fire departments in the state of Florida. It was the first fire department in Brevard County to receive a Class 1 rating.
