Brittany Mahomes Has a Surprising Ice Cream Order: 'Ain't Nothing Like' It

Brittany Mahomes is giving fans the scoop on her ice cream order!

On Thursday, Sept. 19, the retired soccer player and mother of two, 29, — who is expecting their third baby with husband Patrick Mahomes — posted a photo of an ice cream bowl on her Instagram Stories . She sat with her legs reclining and the sweet treat in her lap.

"Ain't nothing like some mint chocolate chip ice cream with hard chocolate on the top ," she wrote over a photo of the green-and-brown serving.

The "hard chocolate" she references is also known as a chocolate shell. The secret ingredient is coconut oil. Simply melt 2⁄3 cup coconut oil along with 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips. Once the warm topping hits the cold ice cream it hardens up, resulting in a satisfying crunch.

Brittany and Patrick have been known to declare their love of frozen desserts on social media.

Back in March, Brittany shared an Instagram Stories snap featuring her husband sitting on the couch, as she held a chocolate-dipped mini ice cream cone in front of her phone camera. "Anyone else eat 10 of these a night?," she captioned the image , before drawing an arrow next to the NFL player's face. "Cause he does."

The mini cones don't appear to be the quarterback's only sweet treat of choice. His teammate Travis Kelce revealed on an episode of his New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce podcast that Patrick actually has a freezer full of Dippin' Dots as well. "I've seen them at Pat Mahomes' garage," Travis said. "He's got a freezer of Dippin' Dots."

In response, Travis' brother and now-retired NFL star Jason jokingly asked, "What is he Richie Rich? He's just got random like – does he have a rollercoaster in his backyard, too?"

Patrick himself played along with the gag, sharing a message to X (formerly known as Twitter), reading: "Love some good ole "

The Mahomes crew has had plenty of reason to bring out the ice cream this month, as the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback celebrated his 29th birthday on Tuesday, Sept. 17. He spent the day with his two kids, Patrick "Bronze" Lavon Mahomes III , who turns two in November, and daughter Sterling Skye , 3.

Brittany uploaded a carousel post featuring a festive caption. "Happy Birthday to one of the greatest humans ever, my husband, best friend and the best daddy ever! We are so grateful you are ours! We Love Youuuuuu"

She threw him a pre-birthday bash on Sept. 15 featuring large cookies, fun signage and personalized cups and koozies decorated with childhood photos of the quarterback. "We're celebrating somebody's birthday after the game," Brittany said as she filmed some of the decor. "And I can't get over how cute he is."
