Broncos vs. Saints score predictions

V.Davis26 min ago
The Denver Broncos and New Orleans Saints will kick off Week 7 on Thursday Night Football this week. Denver started out road underdogs when odds opened for this game, but the line has shifted strongly in their direction with the Saints defensive collapse on Sunday and having to start Spencer Rattle at quarterback. This is a game that the Broncos have to have to keep their season on track.

Game OverviewDenver Broncos at New Orleans Saints Thursday, October 17, 2024 at 6:15 P.M. Mile High time Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana ATS Betting Lines: Denver -2.5 Moneyline Odds: Denver -105 / New Orleans -115 Over/Under:

Collectively, our Mile High Report staff is predicting a Broncos 23-17 road win over the Saints. After the struggles they had this weekend, any score resulting in a win for Denver this week is all I want to see come Thursday night. Not all of us are predicting a Broncos win though, so here is how we see things playing out on an individual basis:

Broncos 31, Saints 20 As bad as the Broncos offense can be, they are facing a Saints defense that is an absolute dumpster fire and a quarterback getting his second career start. If they don't dominate this game from start to finish these 2024 Broncos are cooked. I have to believe they aren't quite cooked just yet. - Tim Lynch

Broncos 23, Saints 10 The Broncos should beat a Saints team led by a rookie quarterback in his first start. They will be missing Pat Surtain, but the Saints are also banged up, which should even things out. Sean Payton will want to beat his old team, and Bo Nix will want a chance to bounce back. The offense has to play better and k expect them to step up against another NFC South opponent. - Adam Malnati

Broncos 20, Saints 17 This is a make-or-break game for the Broncos if they want to keep their post-season hopes alive. In order to come away with a win on the road against the New Orleans Saints, Denver has to perform much better on offense. They are second-worst in the National Football League only behind the Cleveland Browns in third down conversions. They can't afford to start off slow and shoot themselves in the foot with penalties and turnovers. I expect Sean Payton to get this team going in the right direction and earn a victory against the franchise he coaches for ages. - Chris Hart

Broncos 23, Saints 13 Denver needs to get off to a fast start, offensively and defensively. Put the Saints on their heels that allows the Broncos to control the game as opposed to fighting back into it to make it competitive. Test the New Orleans defense with some vertical pass threats, and stop the running game on defense to make the Saints offense one-dimensional. Denver does those things it should win this game. - Ian St. Clair

Saints 24, Broncos 10 Winning on the road is very hard and a third in a row is a tall order. The offense is in various states of disarray and the defense is reeling a bit, so it'll be interesting to see how they regroup. I'm afraid it's a bitter homecoming for Sean Payton. - Mike DeCicco

Broncos 24, Saints 13 The Saints will be down their starting QB and their top two WR's while playing on a short week. The Broncos defense will be down Surtain II, but the defense will bounce back and have a strong outing against the depleted Saints offense.

I expect Audric Estime to get more carries and the Broncos run game to bounce back in this one. Bo Nix will be efficient and lead the Broncos to multiple scoring drives. - Scotty Payne

Broncos 27, Saints 23 The defense falters somewhat again this week with PS2 still out but the OL plays better than they did on Sunday and the run game opens things up for some deep passes on play action. - Joe Mahoney

Broncos 23, Saints 13 The Broncos' defense should Rattle the Saints' backup QB early and often. The New Orleans interior line is banged up a bit and they're also without their top two wide receivers. Nix gets a little more time to throw this week and also gets some help from the running game to put up their most balanced attack to date. Not much of a sweat in the 4th quarter as the Broncos move to 2-0 against the NFC South on the season. - Jonathan Rice
