Browns 2024 NFL Mock Draft: 7 round mock after Week 4’s loss

J.Smith29 min ago
The Cleveland Browns are 1-3 early in the 2024 NFL season and, as shared in our Brownies and Frownies after Week 4's game , the odds of making the playoffs with that record are very low. Anything is possible but Browns fans have turned on the team for good reason at this point.

That means it is NFL Mock Draft season very early.

While QB Deshaun Watson has not lived up to the trade or his contract, his play the last couple of weeks hasn't been terrible either . An average quarterback with a big contract is unlikely to be traded away or released, for good reason due to the salary cap .

According to Tankathon , the Browns are slotted to select fifth overall at this point but are tied with six other teams with the Miami Dolphins potentially joining that group if they lose on Monday Night Football. This year's draft class is not considered an overly strong one:

Of course, Cleveland fans still get to be excited about their team having a first-round pick for the first time in a few years so we have a full seven-round Browns Mock Draft for you using Pro Football Network's Mock Draft Simulator :

First RoundOT Kelvin Banks Jr., Texas

Jedrick Wills on the final year of his deal and Jack Conklin likely gone after the season as well, it is time for a reset on the offensive line. You will see more of that later. The 6'5" Banks is an athletic player with solid traits and technique to step in right away as the left tackle in Cleveland.

Second RoundLB Jaishawn Barham, Michigan

The Browns need to be able to stop the run while not giving away as much on end around and to tight ends. Pairing the 6'4" Barham with Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah could help with both areas. Veteran Jordan Hicks can help Barham transition to the next level.

Third RoundOL Donovan Jackson, Ohio State

Joel Bitonio is aging and Wyatt Teller has struggled with injuries. While Zak Zinter was drafted this year for the future, he's already starting. Jackson would be drafted with the future in mind but could come in like Zinter and play as a rookie and help reestablish Cleveland's offensive line along with Banks.

Fourth RoundRB Nicholas Singleton, Penn State

One of the areas of strength in this draft is the running back group. Singleton is currently overlooked but the 6', 225-pound back has 23 rushing touchdowns already in just two-plus college seasons. A perfect back behind the new offensive line.

Sixth Round (4 selections)TE Jake Briningstool, Clemson

It is obvious that the Browns need some depth at tight end with two practice squad-level players getting snaps in Week 4. Briningstool has shown the ability to catch the ball while developing as a blocker.

DT Thor Griffith, Lousiville

Until Cleveland shows they can stop the run, defensive tackle (along with linebacker) will be on the list. With a name like "Thor," why not here in the sixth round?

WR CJ Daniels,

Amari Cooper dropping passes and set for free agency, along with Elijah Moore, adding a receiver makes sense. The 6'2", 205-pound Daniels transferred to LSU after dominating at Liberty in 2023. He has 20 receptions early in the 2024 college season.

OC Nofoafia Tulafono, Wyoming

Ethan Pocic has one more year on his contract. With Luke Wypler injured this offseason, adding depth at the center position will be helpful.
