Bryan "Bulldog" Moore

Samuel Bryan Moore Jr., known to many as "Bulldog," passed away on September 19, 2024, just shy of his 80th birthday. Born in Beaumont, Texas, and raised in McAllen, Texas, Bryan attended both undergraduate and law school at the University of Texas, Austin.

He began his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney in Hidalgo County before transitioning to private practice in Dallas, Texas. During his time in Dallas, where he and his wife Janet lived for several years, Bryan also served as a County Court Judge in Dallas County for four years.

In 1985, Bryan and Janet moved to Colorado, where he continued practicing law until his passing. His passion for oration and journalism, first displayed in high school through debate and his sports byline in the McAllen Monitor, remained with him throughout his life. Bryan maintained a busy legal practice and was a dedicated advocate for workers' rights, often lobbying at the Colorado State Capitol.

Bryan had a deep love for sports, history, sharp humour, and classic literature, particularly Steinbeck and Hemingway. He cherished both long-standing friendships and the new connections he made along the way.

He is survived by his wife, Janet; his sister, Ruth Moore Roberts, and several cousins. He was predeceased by his parents and two brothers.

Services will be scheduled for a later date.
