A three-time All-American, a 2003 Freshman All-American, 2004 consensus and 2005 unanimous First Team All-American selection, Bush won the Doak Walker Award, as well as the Walter Camp, AP, and Sporting News Player of the Year awards in 2005. After finishing fifth in Heisman voting in 2004, Bush won the award in 2005. He went on to an 11-year career in the NFL. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2023.

Dantonio finished his career as the winningest coach in Michigan State history and retired as one of just seven Big Ten coaches to have at least six 10-win seasons on his resume. During the 2013 season, Dantonio led the Spartans to Pasadena for the 100th edition of the Rose Bowl Game for the first time since 1988. The Spartans defeated Stanford, 24-20. He went on to lead Michigan State to the College Football Playoff in 2015. He led the Spartans to three Big Ten titles and was named Big Ten Coach of the Year twice. Dantonio ranks No. 11 in Big Ten history in both overall wins as a head coach with 114 and Big Ten Conference wins with 69. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2024.

James electrified crowds as a running back for Oregon from 2009-2011, leading the Ducks to a 34-6 record, as well as a BCS National Championship and 2012 Rose Bowl Game appearance. James led Oregon in a thrilling 45-38 win over Wisconsin in Pasadena, running for 159 yards and a touchdown on 25 carries. He still holds six school rushing records. James played in the NFL for four seasons and currently owns and operates restaurants in Oregon. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2023.

With the addition of this year's class, the Rose Bowl Hall of Fame includes 146 inductees over its 35-year history. Inductees are honored with a permanent plaque that includes their name and year of induction at The Court of Champions at the Rose Bowl Stadium, forever cementing their legacy with that of The Granddaddy of Them All®.
