Sports 'Butter' Extends Cowboys Lead to 6-3

The Dallas Cowboys pushed their lead to 6-3 in the second quarter against the Pittsburgh Steelers, courtesy of kicker Brandon Aubrey's second successful field goal of the game. Following a defensive stop early in the quarter, Dallas began their drive at their own 34-yard line, looking to build on their earlier 3-3 tie.

Quarterback Dak Prescott wasted no time moving the Cowboys offense down the field. Prescott found tight end Jake Ferguson on a crucial 27-yard pass, setting the team up inside the Steelers' 15-yard line. Ferguson's reception gave the Cowboys momentum, but their progress was briefly interrupted when rookie left tackle Tyler Guyton went down with a left thigh injury two plays later, forcing an injury timeout.

After the stoppage, the Cowboys found themselves facing a 3rd-and-11 situation at the Steelers' 14-yard line. A false start penalty pushed Dallas back five yards, making it a challenging 3rd-and-16 from the Steelers' 19-yard line. Rather than forcing a pass, fullback Hunter Luepke gained four yards on the ground, allowing the Cowboys to set up a field goal attempt.

Brandon Aubrey, who had already nailed a 55-yard field goal earlier in the game, came out to attempt a 33-yard kick. Aubrey once again delivered, splitting the uprights to give the Cowboys a 6-3 lead with 8:51 remaining in the second quarter.
