Bygones: Massive load of canned sardines seized in Duluth 100 years ago

More than 67,000 cans of sardines, stored in a Duluth warehouse, were seized under orders from the United States district attorney after it was charged that the goods did not meet requirements of federal food laws. It is believed to be one of the largest consignments of foodstuffs every seized in Duluth.
