Crews respond to fire at vacant building in Dayton

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Crews responded to a fire at a vacant structure in Dayton.

According to the Montgomery County Regional Dispatch Center, crews were dispatched to the area of Wheatley Avenue and Victor Avenue.

Dayton Fire and Police posted on Facebook , saying that the fire was live on the second floor of a two story building. Multiple action lines are in use to tackle the fire.

The fire occurred before 7:40 a.m.

No injuries have been reported as of this writing.

According to District Chief David Thomas, about $10,000 of damage was sustained as a result of the fire. The fire impacted the first and second floor of the structure, with the second floor fire being the most difficult to take down.
