Grand Island man faces federal charges

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - The son of the Hall County jail administrator faces federal drug and weapons charges. Brandon Bahensky, 35, is charged with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, cocaine and heroin and with possession of a gun while committing a drug crime. On May 13, the Tri-Cities Drug Enforcement Team searched Bahensky's house in north Grand Island. Court records show they found large quantities of fentanyl, meth, psilocybin mushrooms, cocaine, heroin and marijuana. They also found drug paraphernalia and a 9 mm handgun with ammunition. Federal prosecutors filed the charges against Bahensky last month. He was also ordered to be detained in federal custody, but it was not clear from court documents where. Bahensky is the son of Hall County Department of Corrections director Todd Bahensky.
