Teen arrested after crashing stolen vehicle attempting to evading police in Holyoke
HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) – An 18-year-old was arrested in Holyoke in connection with a stolen vehicle on Thursday.

According to the Holyoke Police Department, a detective was on his way home when he came across a stolen vehicle involved in a carjacking in the city a few hours earlier. After the detective informed officers of the location of the vehicle, officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop.
The driver did not stop for the officers and crashed into several U-Haul trailers parked at the corner of Essex Street and Nick Cosmos Way. The driver, who was identified as 18-year-old Yandel Jimenez, was arrested on Newton Street. He was charged with the following:

Receiving Stolen M/V
Disorderly Conduct
Resist Arrest
Firearm without FID
Negligent Operation of a M/V
Unlicensed Operation of a M/V
Leave Scene of a Property Damage
