A Republican California lawmaker claims his office was recently vandalized by anti-Israel protesters.

Rep. David Valadao, R-Calif., shared a photo of the damage Monday, which appears to show fake blood smeared across his office’s exterior sign and windows. Plastered on its doors are photos of missing people with the title “murdered.”

The lawmaker took to X , the platform formerly known as Twitter, to condemn the protesters’ actions, saying their methods were ineffective in getting their point across.

“This morning, my Hanford office was vandalized by anti-Israel protestors,” Rep. Valadao . “I strongly support the right to peaceful protest, but violence and vandalism are never acceptable. In a democracy, harassment and intimidation is not how you make your voice heard.”

The representative continued, noting the protesters should support his legislative efforts working to stop the violence in the Middle East.

“If these protestors truly cared about Palestinian children they would also support the eradication of Hamas terrorists, who are actively using Palestinian hospitals and schools as cover for their military operations and putting thousands of Palestinian civilians at risk," Rep. Valadao wrote.

In an interview with Newsmax, Rep. Valadao jokingly the damage as redecorating. He claimed the vandals would incur a felony for the “disgusting” offense.

Rep. Valadao’s office will remain open despite the damage. The Republican directed constituents to share their views with him via phone or email.

The demonstration is one of many to recently take place as Americans increasingly advocate for Palestine amid the Israel-Hamas war. In New York City, high school students recently led against a Jewish teacher who publicly showed support for Israel.

In Seattle, pro-Palestine protesters the lighting of the city's Christmas tree. Demonstrators chanted “antifada” and “free Palestine” while speakers invoked images of bombs and war.
