California Man Pleads Guilty To Sex Trafficking Arizona Girl

B.Hernandez2 hr ago

Trevon Nathaniel Langstaff, 33, pleaded guilty to transporting a minor across state lines for the purpose of engaging in illegal sexual activity. Langstaff met the 14-year-old victim online and drove from Long Beach to Peoria, Arizona, to pick her up, knowing her age and instructing her to lie about it. He then brought her back to his Long Beach apartment, where he sexually abused her.

This case highlights the dangers of online predators who exploit vulnerable youth. U.S. Attorney Martin Estrada emphasized that law enforcement will actively pursue and prosecute such criminals.

"Every day, sexual predators use the internet's relative anonymity to prey on vulnerable youth," said United States Attorney Martin Estrada. "Would-be predators should be aware that my office will use all of its tools to bring them to justice, and, as today's sentence shows, the consequences will be severe."

Langstaff faces a maximum sentence of 30 years in federal prison and is scheduled to be sentenced on March 7, 2025. He has been in custody since March 27th.

The FBI and the Long Beach Police Department investigated the case, and Assistant United States Attorney Kathrynne N. Seiden is prosecuting.
