Campaign donations listed for Aguilar, Quick
Dan Quick's legislative campaign has received $257,289.23 in donations in 2024, while Ray Aguilar's campaign has brought in $165,800.
Those figures are contributions received this year up until Oct. 21. They include cash contributions, loans and in-kind donations.
Campaigns regularly give their financial figures to the Nebraska Accountability and Disclosure Commission.
Aguilar is seeking to retain his seat as District 35 representative. Quick is trying to recapture the position he held from 2016 to 2020.
The Aguilar campaign's largest donor was Pete Ricketts, who supplied $20,000. Ricketts is listed as an individual rather than a U.S. senator.
Aguilar received $15,000 donations from the Peed family of Lincoln — one from Tom Peed, the other from Shawn Peed.
Charles Herbster of Falls City provided Aguilar with $10,000.
Nebraska Realtors PAC, based in Lincoln, gave the Aguilar campaign $6,000. His campaign also received $5,500 from the Nebraska Bankers State Political Action Committee, headquartered in Lincoln.
The largest donation Quick received, for $45,000, came from the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers PAC Voluntary Fund, based in Washington, D.C.
The Quick campaign received $20,000 donations from the Nebraska Association of Trial Attorneys, based in Omaha, and the Way Back PAC, of Sheridan, Wyo.
A $15,000 donation came from the Democracy Engine LLC of Washington, D.C.
Quick also received $11,000 from the Nebraska State Education Association PAC and two $10,000 donations — one from Children's PAC of Omaha and the other from Bold Alliance, Hastings.
