The United States and Canada women's hockey teams will play Game 2 of their Rivalry Series on Friday night, Nov. 8, from the Maverik Center in Salt Lake City.

It will start at 9 p.m. ET and you can watch it on the NHL Network or live stream it on ESPN+ (discount), fubo TV (add-on, FREE trial), Sling TV (add-on, discount) or DirecTV Stream , (add-on, FREE trial and discount).

This is a best-of-five series, with three games this week in the United States and then two in February 2025 north of the border.

In Game 1 on Wednesday night, Lacey Eden and Abbey Murphy each scored a pair of goals, leading the U.S. Women's National Team to a 7-2 victory over Canada.

Tessa Janecke, Laila Edwards and Alex Carpenter also registered multi-point performances and goaltender Aerin Frankel made 26 saves for the U.S. in the win.

Wednesday's triumph marked Team USA's largest margin of victory in Rivalry Series history. The U.S. Women's National Team scored seven goals against Canada for the first time since April 4, 2015.

"I thought our figurehead, [Aerin] Frankel, was outstanding," John Wroblewski, head coach of the U.S. Women's National Team, told the media after the game. "The game changes with whoever strikes first. Aerin was right there for us and held strong all night. The storyline was stability, and she represented the players' will and tenacity across the board."

Canada's head coach Troy Ryan said the United States team looked "comfortable and connected."

"It's one of those games you turn the page on, but there are plenty of learnings to take from it and we'll tap into that," he said. "Sometimes this time of year things won't look as smooth, chemistry isn't there, but you always have to have the work ethic and compete. They'll learn from tonight."

The Rivalry Series was introduced by USA Hockey and Hockey Canada in the 2018-19 season and comprised three games between the women's national teams of the two countries.

The Americans are bringing a decidedly younger roster to San Jose than Canada, with 10 of the 27 players playing college hockey this season. Leading that group is University of Wisconsin fifth-year senior Casey O'Brien, who is atop the NCAA with 26 points (7-19—26) in 12 games for the undefeated and No. 1-ranked Badgers.

One to watch for Team Canada is Chloe Primerano, a 17-year-old defender. She will become the second-youngest defender to play for Canada's National Women's Team, just two weeks older than Cheryl Pounder was at the 1994 Women's Worlds. The British Columbia native has been terrific as a freshman at the University of Minnesota, posting six points (1-5—6) in 10 games for the third-ranked Golden Gophers.
