Casey's now in David City
In the last couple of months, David City residents may have noticed a new kid in town when it comes to topping off their tanks and grabbing a bite for the road. Casey's moved to town at 3419 MN Rd. after a little over a year of planning, bringing all kinds of things to David City, Mayor Jessica Miller said.
"It's just more opportunities and roads into our community. We're trying to grow our community and trying to bring more business out but we still want to support our businesses that are here," Miller said.
The gas station and convenience store brings not just gas and on-the-go snacks, but the ubiquitous Casey's pizza, several jobs and a spot on the south side of town for visitors from that direction to stop. All the gas stations, Miller said, have their areas of expertise and this will be an amenity for those coming into town looking for food and fuel from a different direction.
"I also think they will help disperse traffic since we're now on the South side of town. With AGP opening up, they're talking 600-800 trucks a day, just to spread it out (is a big advantage.)" Miller said.
