CeeDee Lamb returns to Cowboys practice, says he's playing on Thanksgiving
There’s a day remaining before the Cowboys face the Commanders. And CeeDee Lamb , possibly gimpy ankle and all, plans to play.
It’s too exciting of a game to even think about missing, given that the pomp and tradition of a Cowboys Thanksgiving game at AT&T Stadium is an NFL must see. The game likely will be the most viewed of the regular season. Dolly Parton is the non-football entertainment. And besides, the Commanders are a divisional opponent.
Lamb sprained his ankle on the road against the Panthers, Sunday, so there hasn’t been a ton of time to heal with the quick turnaround of a holiday game. Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy said Monday that Lamb’s injury wasn’t of “high concern.”
And on Tuesday, the Cowboys all-star went through a full practice, after he was a limited in Monday’s walk-through. Lamb told reporters of his Thursday plans: “I’m straight. I’ll be out there.”
Four Cowboys didn’t practice Tuesday. They were running back Rico Dowble (ankle); safety Jayron Kearse (back) and offensive tackle Tyron Smith (non-injury related, rest). In addition, receiver Michael Gallup missed Tuesday’s workout because of personal reasons.
Reporters who cover the Cowboys say Gallup at the team complex after practice. Smith normally misses a day.
