CeeDee Lamb would have been limited in Monday practice

Dallas Cowboys have a short week of practice ahead of the Thanksgiving Day matchup against the Washington Commanders. Because of that, the team is condensing the practice schedule, which means Monday was a walkthrough day for the players. Since Monday’s practice is really a Wednesday practice in a normal week, Dallas still released an injury report for the day.

Featured prominently is wide receiver CeeDee Lamb . The former Sooner suffered an ankle injury on Sunday against the Carolina Panthers, but according to Mike McCarthy, the injury isn’t “of high concern.” Lamb had six catches for 38 yards and a touchdown on Sunday while surpassing the 1,000-yard mark for the 2023 season. He became the second-fastest Cowboys receiver to reach 1,000 yards, trailing only Michael Irvin.

The Cowboys kick off against the Commanders at 4:30 p.m. ET on Thursday in AT&T Stadium. Country music legend Dolly Parton will perform for the halftime show.

Here’s who was in and who was out for the Cowboys and Commanders’ Monday practices.

Micah Parsons reveals cause of stomach issues vs Carolina

When reporters spotted linebacker Micah Parsons throwing up on the sidelines during the win against the Carolina Panthers, the Cowboys made it clear that the star defender wasn’t sick. The Penn State alum was still able to notch six tackles and a career-high 2.5 sacks despite up-chucking at least twice, so what was the issue?

Parsons fessed up to trying a new energy powder, made by C4, prior to the game. Unfortunately for him, his stomach wasn’t quite ready for the energy-elevating power of the pre-workout mix.

“I got some water to help put it down,” Parsons said post-game, via Jon Machota. “By the fifth play, it felt like my heart was gonna jump outta my chest. I felt like I was about to explode. I’m never doing that shit again.”

Parsons’ 2.5 sacks brought the Cowboys’ total on the day to seven and his season total up to 10 with six tackles for loss. He’s the first player in franchise history with at least 10 sacks in each of his first three seasons. Jayron Kearse , Chauncey Golston , DeMarcus Lawrence , Dorance Armstrong and Sam Williams all got involved in taking down rookie QB Bryce Young on Sunday.

The Dallas defense held the Panthers to 187 total yards on the day, including just 77 passing yards. The last time the Cowboys allowed less passing yards in a two-game span was in 1992.
