Celebrating Billieve’s 300th Episode, Miami Preview With Jamie D’Amico

R.Campbell9 hr ago
This is a big milestone in the history of the Billieve Podcast, as we're celebrating our 300th episode since launching in 2018. Who better to welcome on as our guest this week to both reminisce about our podcasting milestone and preview the Buffalo Bills ' Week 9 clash versus the Miami Dolphins than John Boccacino's longtime co-host, Jamie D'Amico?

Boccacino and D'Amico start off the episode by taking a stroll down memory lane, discussing the launch of Billieve in 2018, which helped establish the Buffalo Rumblings family of podcasts. After reliving some of their favorite memories from their time co-hosting the podcast together, Boccacino and D'Amico reminisce about their first in-person meeting, which happened during a tailgate before Buffalo's Week 7 win over the Tennessee Titans.

Moving onto the matchup with Miami, Boccacino and D'Amico discussed why the Bills have had success limiting the big-play ability of Dolphins' wide receivers Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, and analyzed quarterback Tua Tagovaiola's return from his latest concussion, including why his penchant for getting rid of the ball quickly can be problematic for opposing defenses, but historically not the Bills.

We heaped praise onto several unheralded members of Buffalo's defense who have stepped up and taken on larger roles over the past couple of weeks, discussed how the Bills run defense has really turned a corner, examined the challenge the Bills will face in trying to slow down speedy running back Devon Achane and the Miami screen game, and explained how Buffalo will be getting some defensive reinforcements back over the coming weeks and how that will aid this team in the long run.

On the other side of the ball, our hosts shared how quarterback Josh Allen has historically owned the Dolphins in his career, winning 12 of 14 matchups while passing for 3,854 passing yards with 37 touchdowns and adding five rushing touchdowns against Miami.

We examined the continued emergence of running back James Cook and why this is a nice matchup for him, credit Buffalo's offensive line for evolving into a consistent unit that is one of the best in the league, dissect wide receiver Keon Coleman's recent breakthrough, and discuss offense coordinator Joe Brady's play-calling creativity from last week and how important it is for the Bills to deploy wide receiver Khalil Shakir in pre-snap motion.

We close by offering up score predictions as the Bills look to pick up their fourth straight win and sweep the season series with the Dolphins. How do you see this game playing out? Leave your thoughts in the comments section!
