Central Pa. senior living community sold to N.J. company

A central Pa. senior living complex has been sold.

Presbyterian Senior Living sold Windy Hill Village to Continuum Healthcare on Oct. 31.

Windy Hill Village is located in Rush Township near Philipsburg.

The sale includes the health center, personal care, and cottage components of the community. However, Presbyterian Senior Living will retain management and operation of Westminster Place at Windy Hill Village, affordable apartments for seniors.

"We are pleased to announce the successful transition of Windy Hill Village to Continuum Healthcare, Inc.," Dan Davis, president and CEO of Presbyterian Senior Living, said in a news release. "This decision was made with the best interests of the residents we serve and team members in mind. We are confident that Continuum Healthcare, Inc. will continue to provide the exceptional care and services that the Windy Hill Village community has come to expect."

Terms of the agreement weren't disclosed.

The nonprofit, Presbyterian Senior Living is based in Carroll Township, York County, and has been providing residential senior living and care services for more than 97 years. The nonprofit provides services to approximately 6,000 seniors in 27 locations across Maryland, Ohio, Delaware and Pennsylvania including facilities in Cumberland, Dauphin, York and Lancaster counties.

Continuum Healthcare is based in New Jersey and provides a full range of services, including in-house rehabilitation, high-acuity care, dementia care, and long-term care.
