Chabad to host An Evening of Remembrance

On Monday, Chabad of Bakersfield will host An Evening of Remembrance.

Held in collaboration with The Central Valley Holocaust Memorial, the community evening is meant to "remember, reflect, and honor those lost to senseless hate," according to a news release.

A yizkor memorial service will be held in memory of the 1,139 men, women and children killed in the Hamas attack on Israel on Oct. 7, 2023.

This event, which will also include a heartfelt musical tribute by Rabbi Schlanger, is meant to provide a meaningful opportunity to honor the memories of those lost and to come together in solidarity, according to a news release.

An Evening of Remembrance begins at 6 p.m. Monday at Chabad of Bakersfield, 6901 Ming Ave.

The event is free to attend but sponsorship opportunities are available for those wishing to support the cause.
